I'd say no to restarting the whole silly thing, but then they put the Narrator in as a replacement Hulk and that was just fabulous. So who knows. With the right people, ideas that look dumb can actually be good.
Then again, Rob Patterson strikes me as a person whose head is too big. I mean, it's large. Is it the chin? Anyway, he doesn't seem to have lean body type.
At least now Raimi can work on the Warcraft movie, that will be neat.
That being said, it'll just be a treat to see all the movie reincarnations get together and beat up the Hulk. Lol.
I actually agree with 3 of these answers; the 3rd was shit and i'd love a better sequel, if they did the Ultimate Spiderman movie than WIN, and if they do the origin of spiderman AGAIN it better be good :T because rehashing isn't cool....not cool.
I don't particularly like Toby Maguire all that much, but he made a good spiderman and a great Peter Parker. He'll be hard to replace.
Yes, the third movie REALLY sucked. (And if reports are to be believed, Sam Raimi was going to mess things up even more with his plot of Peter leaving M.J. and his dad being the vulture... or Uncle Ben... not sure which.) But the answer to that is to scrap Sam and go with a new writer and director.
With a totaly new crew and cast they will probably try to go with the cheapest actors they can find and the whole mess will stink of one of those direct to DVD sequels that have become so popular to produce (though I don't know WHY, as 99% of them are horrible).
Is it possible that it will wind up in the lap of a great producer who will take it seriously? A producer that will give us a reboot with the quality and maturity of Batman Begins. Yes. But I doubt it.
Well, Sony's still producing. The new director will be Marc Webb. I'm not very familiar with his work so I can't pass judgement.
