Infinite by Quirkilicious Infinite by Quirkilicious
I was a little skeptical about playing Bioshock Infinite, from the previews I thought I'd miss the horror/macabre aspect of 1&2 and I felt the iconography was lost in character design when the Little Sister / Big Daddy duo were replaced by some awfully pretty people. I was like "Great, it's going to be some fluffy save-the-girl/probable-love-interest crap..."

Happily, I was proven wrong. For starters I didn't miss the horror at all because this is probably the most beautiful game I've ever played as far as real-time graphics go. Just walking through Columbia in the first couple of chapters made me want to sit there and take screenshots for a few minutes. As the game progresses the horror aspect does return and the Dewitt/Elizabeth dynamic develop plenty of character. Finally if you're familiar with the story, although rushed it's pretty stellar. :]

I'm also a big fan of run-and-gun FPS games, so the skyline in the battle system felt pretty baller, added with the Charge Vigor the whole thing was like rush down city! This with the fact that re-positioning was so easy I don't know why anyone would carry anything other than a Sniper/Shotgun... Although I only blitzed through the game on Hard, haven't poked at 1999-mode yet.

If only they'd ended up in Paris.

Yes! The Shotgun/Sniper combo is my favorite too! XD
1999 mode is easy enough, though expect to die a few times while figuring out certain battles.
Though I will say that the Carbine and Pistol are worth picking up when fighting Handymen. Slow guns like the Shotgun/Sniper don't work as good cause you gotta set up for just 1 shot then get the f out of dodge cause he's on you already; with Carbine or Pistol you can unload rapidly then get away and set up for another clip.

Elizabeth never gets to see Paris, it's so sad, just thinking about it makes me cry inside...
(Safety my one favorite games EVER, Elizabeth and Booker had such an amazing relationship, great story, definite re-play value, serious I could really go on how awesome it was!!!! ;) )

Best game ever. Of all time. And the drawing doesn't need to hide from it.
Elizabeth deserved so much better.

Awesome work on this! I love her hair, and the work on the Eiffel Tower is so incredible!

Poor Elizabeth/Anna... Ah yes, i'm not afraid to say i fell in love with her even if she's just a videogame character (at least in this world, maybe somewhere else...)

Although yeah, I started off with the Triple R and Carbine, with Devil's Kiss, Bucking Bronco, Murder of Crows, Shock Jockey and Return to Sender, and occasionally Undertow.

Wow, it's beautiful. Seeing the two worlds and her crying just holds the ending so well. (Won't spoil it.) But that's the interpretation I get from it. Nicely done, thanks for posting it.

Definitely the best piece of fanart I've seen of Elizabeth.  It has such fantastic lighting, I'm gonna have to add it to my pool of reference for painting technique. Stellar job!

Haha, that's true. I only used sniper and hand-cannon. Maxes out damage for both.

But sniper becomes weak later on in the game, making 1 shot KOs only if you get head shots.

I switched to shotgun/ hand-cannon and used charge. You can kill patriots in 2-3 charges without taking any damage and Elizabeth throws salts non-stop.

Other than that, beautiful art! I am always late to the bandwagon, but this game is incredible. The story so deep and thought provoking... also emotional.

Haven't felt this way about any game since Final Fantasy 7, Ocarina of Time, and new Tomb Raider. All other games, even blockbusters have pretty predictable or half-baked plotlines.

1999 mode isnt too bad, if you use the return to sender vigor on the siren :3 that was the only hard part for me, when i didnt know what the vigor did XD
Also, this is the most beautiful portrait of Elizabeth ive ever seen ^-^ very well done!

She looks so sad and happy at the same time. You've done a great job with the light/dark aspect, very symbolic (at least to me). And that corset! Oooh, it looks so good!

I noticed the tear on her face , is that a tear of joy or sadness. Who did she lose for this.

I feel the horror is still kind of there...but it's not overt. The horror is in knowing the sick underside of the beautiful city.
